Go Lean Health is seeking a highly capable Medical Virtual Assistant (MVA) to support the clinic’s operational health. The role requires sharp, proactive, detail-oriented individuals with strong English communication and executive presence.

The MVA will handle insurance verification, denied claims, EOB processing, patient balances, and billing-related tasks while maintaining HIPAA-conscious workflows in a remote setup. Mac OS proficiency and independent work are essential.

Formación

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong executive presence and professional communication style
• Must be a Mac OS user
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proven leadership, ownership, or high-accountability experience in a previous role

Responsabilidades

• Verify patient insurance after check-in and document all details.
• Review denied claims, identify reasons, and assist with reprocessing.
• Review and process Explanation of Benefits documents and clear backlogs.
• Review outstanding balances and coordinate resolution steps.
• Support claims workflows including Cigna and VA claims and escalate when needed.
• Assist with vendor payment coordination and timely completion of tasks.
• Monitor SOAP notes for completion and correctness and flag issues.
• Track missed and canceled appointments and analyze trends.
• Prepare reports on balances, missed/canceled appointments, EOB backlog, and metrics.
• Coordinate communication between provider, care team, and admin staff.
• Identify workflow gaps and propose practical improvements to billing and scheduling.
