Go Lean Health is seeking a Medical Virtual Assistant (MVA) to support a busy healthcare clinic with a remote role. The candidate should be sharp, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to own important clinic workflows with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include insurance verification, denied claims management, EOB processing, patient balance resolution, and responsive claims processing. Must have excellent English, Mac OS, and the ability to build trust with the provider and care team.

Formación

• Strong English communication, both written and verbal.
• Proactive and able to anticipate needs before asked.
• Attention to detail in billing, documentation, and reporting tasks.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven leadership, ownership, or high-accountability experience in a previous role.

Responsabilidades

• Verify patient insurance after check-in and document accuracy.
• Review denied claims and assist with reprocessing to prevent repeat errors.
• Review and process Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and clear backlogs.
• Track outstanding balances and coordinate next steps for resolution.
• Support claims workflows including Cigna and Veterans Affairs.
• Assist with vendor payments and ensure on-time completion of payment tasks.
• Monitor SOAP note completion, accuracy, and compliance.
• Track missed/cancelled appointments and analyze scheduling trends.
• Prepare reports on outstanding balances, missed appointments, EOB backlog, and other metrics.
• Facilitate smooth communication between provider, care team, and admin staff.
• Identify workflow gaps and recommend practical improvements.
