Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking an Onsite Resident Field Technical Support & Tech Consulting specialist for Nonstop systems. The role is designed as onsite with expectation to work from an HPE partner/customer office, supporting mission-critical environments and ensuring stability and continuous improvement.

You will provide Level 1 support, troubleshoot, apply patches and coordinate with engineering, product support and account management, while maintaining documentation and sharing best

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience supporting general systems in enterprise environments; knowledge of HPE NonStop is a plus.
• Understanding of NonStop OS, Guardian, OSS, TCP/IP, and related subsystems.
• Experience with NonStop utilities SCF, FUP, TMF, EMS, PATHWAY preferred.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change).
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Availability for extended rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 technical support for incidents related to HPE NonStop hardware and some software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic system issues; escalate to engineering if needed.
• Apply patches, firmware updates, and coordinate software upgrades with customer change processes.
• Collaborate in incident follow-up and documentation.
• Register and manage hardware/software inventories and licenses.
• Perform continuous system monitoring.
• Participate in customer review meetings and drive service improvements.
• Coordinate with internal teams including engineering, product support, and account management.
• Share knowledge and contribute to internal knowledge bases.
