A leader in memory solutions seeks a Layout Design Engineer in Mexico, Jalisco. This role involves designing high-density memory chips and collaborating with innovative teams on advanced DRAM products. The ideal candidate will have strong CMOS circuit knowledge and over 5 years of layout design experience. Responsibilities include layout implementation and evaluating designs, ensuring adherence to high-performance standards. As a Layout Design Engineer for Micron, you will work with highly innovative and motivated design teams using groundbreaking memory technologies to develop the most advanced DRAM and Emerging memory products.
You will design high-density memory chips with advanced functionality, ultra-high speed, and low-power technologies.
Responsibilities include layout implementation, evaluating designs at chip or block level, and providing solutions.
You will collaborate with Micron’s global teams, apply layout tools and techniques, report layout status, and develop mixed-signal layout methodologies for advanced DRAM products.
As a Lead Staff Design Verification Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Lead engineers to deliver high-quality products while fostering their growth.
Design and develop DRAM block-level layouts, ensuring reliability, area, and timing requirements. Own layout implementation, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate full-chip layouts with circuit owners and architects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technology layout challenges.
Basic CMOS circuit design knowledge with 5+ years in layout design.
Strong fundamentals in high-performance techniques addressing electromigration, SH, latch-up, etc.
Skilled in debugging, problem-solving, Cadence Virtuoso Suite, and LVS/DRC tools.
Effective communicator and team player with leadership experience.
BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
