A leading engineering firm located in Monterrey, Baja California, is seeking a skilled hardware development engineer. The role involves designing new electrical enclosures, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and requires proficiency in schematic capture tools. Candidates should have 3-5 years of hardware development experience and be fluent in English. This role emphasizes strong communication skills and the ability to operate various diagnostic instruments, ensuring effective collaboration and project execution.

Formación

  • 3-5 years of experience in hardware development roles.
  • More than ten years of expertise with PLM or documentation management systems.
  • Hands-on experience operating diagnostic instruments.
  • Adept at debugging and supporting manufacturing test processes.

Responsabilidades

  • Design new and low voltage electrical enclosures.
  • Create schematics and 3D models of wiring and cabling.
  • Select appropriate electrical components meeting agency requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, developers, and manufacturing.

POSITION SUMMARY

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design new and low voltage electrical enclosures (>240 volts AC).
  • Harness Design, schematic creation and 3D modeling of wiring and cabling inside equipment.
  • Experience with CREO Cabling module is preferred.
  • Selection of appropriate electrical components that meet agency requirements (UL, NEC, CSA, CE)
  • Collaborates with other groups, including Mech Engineers, firmware & software developers, system test, customer support, and manufacturing.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3-5 years of experience in hardware development roles.
  • More than ten years of expertise with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or product documentation management systems.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in drafting functional requirements and preparing design documentation.
  • Skilled in using Creo Schematics or equivalent schematic capture software.
  • Hands‑on experience operating DMMs, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic instruments.
  • Capable of executing project schedules throughout hardware board development lifecycles.
  • Adept at debugging, validation, and supporting manufacturing test processes.
  • Proven ability in designing for testability and manufacturability.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal collaboration skills.
  • Reliable team members exhibit a consistently positive attitude and creativity.
