Job summary

Royal Caribbean Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Governance to lead enterprise-wide governance of employee data within HR systems and processes. You will define data management standards, ensure data integrity, and maintain compliance across systems while leading a seven-person team.

The role reports to the Senior Director, Product Management, is onsite in Mexico City, and focuses on driving data quality, governance frameworks, and operational excellence across HR Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Information Systems or related field required.
• Master’s degree or advanced certification in HR Systems, Data Management, or Analytics preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HR Operations, HRIS, or Data Governance, including 3+ years in people management.
• Experience managing large-scale HR data governance programs for global organizations.
• Strong background in HR systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or Oracle HCM.

Responsibilities

• Leads the HR Data Governance function, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and streamlined operations across multiple HR systems.
• Develops and implements organizational data management policies, protocols, and governance frameworks.
• Oversees a team of analysts and specialists focused on maintaining and auditing employee data integrity.
• Partners with HR leadership, IT, Finance, and Legal to align governance initiatives with business priorities and regulatory standards.
• Establishes governance metrics and reports on data accuracy trends, risk exposure, and audit results for executive review.
• Drives automation and technology enhancements to improve data quality, reporting efficiencies, and control mechanisms.
• Provides strategic leadership in promoting a culture of data stewardship and accountability across global HR operations.
• Manages the team’s workload, development, and performance, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
• Ensures compliance with privacy, security, and labor data regulations across jurisdictions.
• Represents HR Data Governance in cross-functional committees and contributes to system upgrade, policy rollout, and integration projects.
