Job summary

Amazon Logistics in Mexico seeks an experienced Delivery Area Manager to lead a team of shift managers and delivery service providers at a delivery station. You will oversee daily operations, train staff, assign duties, and uphold safety and quality standards.

The role requires 3+ years of management, 6+ years in operations, and fluency in English and Spanish. You will drive process improvements, manage vendor relationships, and ensure on-time customer deliveries.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English.
• 6+ years of operational experience.
• Speak, write, and read fluently in Spanish and English at C1 level or above.
• 3+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of the delivery station, overseeing the operation that focuses on the delivery of Amazon orders direct to customers.
• Leading a team of Process Assistants and Delivery Service Providers in daily management of the delivery station, including meetings, training sessions, assigning job duties, and communicating with DSPs and management.
• Ensuring a safe work place, properly trained people, and that their needs are addressed so they can focus on their jobs.
• Lead change at internet speed, drive Lean improvements and process optimization.
• Route shipments within the Amazon Logistics coverage area and support staff in task delegation.
• Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.
• Monitor sorting operation and driver’s dispatch and review productivity forecasts.
