Eaton Corporation is currently seeking an Accounting Analyst in Querétaro, Mexico. The role involves performing and supporting the monthly closing process, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, managing cash application, and ensuring accuracy in tax recordings.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, 2-3 years of experience in general accounting, and knowledge of Mexican statutory reporting requirements. This position supports teamwork and process improvements.

Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking an Accounting Analyst.

What you’ll do:

Job Summary: Perform and support the monthly closing process, prepare Balance sheet Reconciliations BSR (AP, accruals, taxes, etc), various journal entries, accruals, Cash application, Bank transactions recording and reconciliation, creation of accounts payables for some services, etc.

1. General accounting procedures and perform the monthly closing process for Sites.
2. Review and validate the cash application for the invoices collected during the month.
3. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations every month for different balance accounts.
4. Prepare on a monthly basis the income and expenses reconciliation.
5. Register and analysis for Hedges on a monthly basis.
6. Ensure the accuracy for taxes recorded, mainly VAT.
7. Generate on a monthly basis the complement of payment for all invoices collected to comply with tax requirements.
8. Review Treasury, ICA & ZBA. Ensure correct recording and Reconciliation.
9. Prepare the accruals for benefits such as EPS, Estate Tax and Insurances.
10. Support and/or lead department activities related to process improvements and standard work.
11. Maintain an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement to achieve departmental and GFSS goals. Support site, functional or corporate initiatives.
12. Collaborate with the Internal Control Audit and Statutory Audits for the sites and activities under the scope.
13. Other activities assigned by supervisor or special requirements from management or company.
14. Maintain safe, clean working environment in compliance with all Eaton safety standards, Life Saving Rules, and daily 5S+ requirements to help build a Zero Incident Culture.

Qualifications:

Education level required: Bachelor degree necessary in Accounting.

Years and area of experience required: 2 - 3 years of experience in general accounting.

• Knowledge of Mexican statutory reporting requirements essential; sound understanding of Tax regulation
• Monthly closing process
• Conciliations - IVA & CFDI
• Exposure to US GAAP / MEX GAAP reporting requirements
• SAP/Oracle Knowledge is a plus
• English - conversational
