Gorgonzola hosts Navigations Air Systems (NAS) domain. The activity of the NAS domain includes avionics, navigation and radar systems for civil air traffic and technologies supporting the activities of civilian and military pilots, ATC controllers and technicians of several airlines, air traffic control agencies and Air Force around the world. Italy is the Group’s Competence centre for the design, production and delivery of Navigation Aids products and a Competence Centre for the delivery of non‑Radar Surveillance Products.

Responsibilities
  • Support the IVVQ Manager in the definition of IVVQ strategy and the generation of associated estimates and schedule.
  • Propose IVVQ testing methods, acceptance criteria and manage their implementation.
  • Communicate design non‑compliances to the team and wider internal/external stakeholders promptly; participate in technical event boards.
  • Prepare System IVVQ activities.
  • Execute IVVQ activities on‑site at Gorgonzola or at customer premises to deliver evidence of compliance with requirements.
  • Analyse test results and/or data and produce technical reports.
  • Highlight technical risks in the IVVQ phase to the Engineering Delivery Manager (EDM) and Product Design Authority (PDA), proposing mitigating actions.
  • Liaise with the PDA and Architect to ensure IVVQ aligns with design and complies with all requirements.
  • Support capitalisation activities for the department and capture lessons learned.
  • Ensure unambiguous testability of requirements.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Engineering and at least 2 years of experience in IVVQ.
  • Good understanding of IVVQ strategies and philosophies.
  • Experience with test activities, formal verification or validation activities.
  • Effective team player capable of interfacing at all levels across the organization.
  • Ability to operate successfully in a multi‑cultural environment with distributed teams.
  • Strong organisational and team‑working skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation skills and the capacity to influence various stakeholders.
  • Creative thinking and willingness to think outside the box.
Competencies
  • Knowledge of lab equipment for electronics and RF engineering such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages or other testing frameworks for test automation.
  • Knowledge of the System Engineering V‑model.
  • Fluency in English and Italian; additional language proficiency (e.g., French) is a plus.
Nice to have
  • Basic knowledge of Navaids equipment such as ILS, VOR, TACAN, DME and understanding of air navigation services regulations such as EN, ICAO or specific local standards.
  • Knowledge of Aerospace System / Software / Hardware quality assurance standards: SAE ARP4754, EUROCAE ED‑109A (RTCA DO‑278A), EUROCAE ED‑80 (RTCA DO‑254), EUROCAE ED‑153.
  • Proficiency in issue tracking software (e.g., Jira).
  • Proficiency in requirements and test management tools.
