Job summary

Discover International is seeking a field-based sales professional to cover private clinics and hospitals in Lombardy, focusing on operating rooms and labor and delivery. You will drive adoption of differentiated medical devices, build relationships with surgeons, nurses, and administrators, and help transition newly acquired products.

The role requires 3–5+ years in surgical sales, strong presentation and negotiation skills, and fluency in Italian with good English.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of field sales experience in a surgical or Labor & Delivery / OR environment
• Knowledge of medical devices and the operating room; gynaecology and women’s healthcare background desirable
• Understanding of regional healthcare systems and tender processes
• Strong sales skills: prospecting, stakeholder mapping, demonstration, negotiation, closing and objection handling
• Self-starter with excellent organization and territory planning skills
• Customer-focused, results-oriented, with strong business acumen
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
• Fluent Italian and good English (written and spoken)

Responsibilities

• Conduct sales calls with surgeons across specialties, OR and Labor & Delivery management, nursing teams and administrators, across both public and private sectors
• Communicate the clinical and operational benefits of our products to healthcare professionals in their surgical practice and operating room
• Engage KOLs in your territory in product support initiatives
• Plan and execute your territory sales plan to achieve sales and business objectives
• Complete product and surgical application training, and demonstrate strong clinical and product knowledge
• Train physicians, nurses, and cleaning and sterilization staff on the correct use and care of our products
• Keep the CRM accurate and up to date, and review customer information regularly with management
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly sales and activity reports on time
• Represent the company at national and regional congresses and exhibitions
• Submit expenses and paperwork accurately and on time
• Travel overnight as needed, with occasional international travel for training, meetings and conferences
