About The Job

Property&Casualty (P&C) area in Allianz Technology plays a critical role in ensuring that the company effectively manages risks and provides valuable insurance solutions products to its customers. As the global IT service provider, we are responsible for driving the digitalization of the entire organization, which includes supporting P&C operations through comprehensive IT solutions.

The current roadmap for platform evolution follows two main complementary paths: the re-engineering of specific components from Mainframe to Java technology, and the adoption of Allianz Technology Group solutions that are localized and integrated in the local IT landscape by P&C IT team.

In this context, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with proven experience in maintaining and evolving complex software solutions and implementing transformation projects.

What You Do
  • Extend existing solutions to enhance scalability, robustness, and security, while ensuring seamless integration between on-premises and cloud components.
  • Analyze and monitor live solutions, assessing performance and platform evolution to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Design and support cross functional teams on development solutions
  • Provide architectural consulting and support onshore and offshore teams
  • Architect and oversee the re-engineering of platform components, transitioning them from Mainframe to Java technology, on cloud-based, microservices architecture
What You Bring
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proven problem-solving attitude, essential for managing complex system and transformations
  • Ability to work and extend existing solutions to implement scalable, robust and secure software architectures
  • Deep understanding of DevOps practices and tools
  • Extensive knowledge of Java-based architectures, microservices and cloud-based solutions
  • Knowledge of Cloud based architectures
  • Knowledge of Dynatrace, ELK Stack and Grafana used for infrastructural monitoring
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Experiences as a system integrator for different clients would be an advantage
  • Degree in IT or Engineering field with at least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency to work with infrastructural constraints
  • Leadership and analytical thinking
  • Excellent communication and collaboration, with fluency in both Italian and English, written and spoken.
  • Availability for short business trips
