A leading company in renewable energy is seeking a Solar PV Project Engineer to support its expanding portfolio in Italy. The role involves technical design, permitting, and execution of utility-scale PV plants, ensuring projects comply with Italian regulations. Ideal candidates will have strong engineering backgrounds, proficiency in industry-specific software, and thorough understanding of grid regulations.

Competenze

• 5 years of experience in PV and/or wind project development.
• Strong familiarity with authorization processes for grid connection.
• Willingness to travel across project locations in Italy.

Mansioni

• Develop and optimize PV system designs including module layout and electrical configuration.
• Prepare technical documentation for Sole Authorization and Grid Connection.
• Conduct energy yield assessments and technical feasibility studies.

The Green Recruitment Company has been partnered with leading IPP in the search of a a Solar PV Project Engineer to support their rapidly expanding portfolio in Italy.

With more than 10 GW in Operations in Europe and offices in Latam and USA this is a unique opportunity to join a market leader in clean energy transformation.

Role Overview:

As a Solar PV Project Engineer, you will be a key player in the engineering, permitting, and execution of utility-scale PV plants across Italy. From technical design and feasibility to documentation and compliance, your contributions will ensure high-performance, regulation-aligned renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize PV system designs: module layout, system sizing, electrical configuration.

• Perform energy yield assessments, technical feasibility studies, and layout tradeoffs.

• Design internal electrical lines, MV/HV substations, and overhead lines (OL/UL).

• Prepare full technical documentation (excluding EIA) for Sole Authorization, Grid Connection, Construction, and Commissioning.

• Conduct technical due diligence and support follow-ups on grid access and connection requests.

Requirements:

• MSc or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or similar.

• Plus 5 years of experience in PV and/or wind project development and execution.

• Strong understanding of Italian grid regulations and authorization processes.

• Proficiency in PVsyst, AutoCAD, QGIS, and MS Office.

• Experience with Sole Authorization processes and technical documentation for grid connection.

• Fluent in Italian and English (C1 level).

• Willingness to travel across project locations in Italy.
