Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Sales Engineer to partner with Commercial accounts, acting as a trusted advisor to Account Managers and Channel Partners. You will deliver People-Centric security solutions and craft compelling demonstrations with proofs of concept to close opportunities.

The role requires fluency in Italian and business English, deep cybersecurity know-how, and the ability to travel as needed. You will collaborate across Sales, Product, and Engineering to shape customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sales Engineer or similar customer-facing security role.
• Strong understanding of email security, cloud security, and data protection.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with client-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales to develop account penetration strategies.
• Design and champion complex People-Centric Security solutions across Proofpoint portfolio.
• Assist in services deployments and training; present at industry events.
• Provide customer insights to Product, Marketing and Engineering teams.
• Support Channel Partners and Distributors; travel as needed.
• Become expert in Email Security, Threat Protection, DLP, and related topics.
