Job summary

Proofpoint in Lombardy, Italy seeks a Sales Engineer to partner with Commercial accounts and act as a trusted advisor to Account Managers and Channel Partners. You will deliver People-Centric security solutions and demonstrate Proofpoint products through compelling product demonstrations and proofs-of-concept to drive deals.

After onboarding and regular training, you will travel occasionally, develop account strategies with the sales team, and provide customer insights to Product Management.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience as a Sales/Systems Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Security Engineer, or senior level product support in cybersecurity.
• Experience in secure messaging, data security, network security, endpoint, NOC/SOC, or MSP cybersecurity desirable.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Fluent Italian and business English; additional languages are a plus.
• Exposure to two or more of the listed security skill areas is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute targeted account penetration strategies.
• Design and champion complex People-Centric Security solutions across the Proofpoint portfolio.
• Assist in professional services deployments, training, and industry events.
• Provide customer insights to Product Management, Marketing and Engineering teams.
• Work with Channel team to support distributors and resellers.
• Become an expert in Email Security, APTs, Attack Protection, Threat Response, DLP, and related threats.
• Occasional travel required.
