Hired is seeking a Strategic Project Lead (PCB & Embedded Design) to oversee end-to-end hardware development projects from concept to production. You will coordinate cross-functional teams including PCB layout, firmware, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing partners.

The role requires leadership to define scope, timelines, and resources, ensuring compliance with technical and business requirements while delivering high-quality prototypes and robust production readiness.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of PCB design and embedded systems development, with at least 3 years in a project leadership or management role.
• Experience with PCB design tools and embedded firmware development in C/C++.
• Familiar with IPC-2221, IPC-A-610, and UL certification processes.
• Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity and thermal management in PCB layouts.
• Experience with Git and hardware documentation tools (Confluence, Jira).
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, DFM, and supply chain coordination.

Mansioni

• Develop and execute project plans for PCB and embedded system designs, aligning with business objectives and technical feasibility.
• Lead collaboration between hardware engineers, firmware developers, and third-party vendors to deliver prototypes within budget.
• Manage PCB layout reviews, signal integrity analysis, and component selection to optimize performance and manufacturability.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for project progress, risk mitigation, and quality assurance.
• Present technical and business updates to stakeholders, including executive leadership, to secure approvals and resources.
