Hired is seeking a Strategic Project Lead for PCB and Embedded Design, offering a remote, globally accessible role. You will oversee end-to-end hardware development from concept to production, coordinating cross-functional teams and manufacturing partners to deliver high-quality prototypes.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in PCB design and embedded systems, with demonstrated leadership. Expect collaboration with hardware, firmware, and vendors to achieve milestones and drive innovations.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in PCB design and embedded systems; 3+ years in leadership roles.
• Proficiency with Altium, KiCad or Cadence Allegro.
• Embedded firmware development in C/C++ with debugging (JTAG/logic analyzers).
• Knowledge of IPC-2221, IPC-A-610, UL certification processes.
• Strong signal integrity, power integrity and thermal management.
• Experience with Git and hardware docs tools (Confluence, Jira).
• Familiarity with manufacturing, DFM and supply chain coordination.
• Ability to assess risks and balance cost, schedule and performance.

• Develop and execute project plans for PCB and embedded designs.

• Manage PCB layout reviews, SI and component selection.
• Establish KPIs for progress, risk mitigation and QA.
