Hired is seeking a Strategic Project Lead to oversee end-to-end hardware development for PCB and embedded systems, coordinating cross-functional teams and external vendors remotely. You will define scopes, timelines, and resources to ensure projects meet technical and business requirements.

The role requires 7+ years in PCB design and embedded development, with several years in leadership, and hands-on experience with Altium/ KiCad/ Cadence Allegro.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in PCB design and embedded systems development, with at least 3 years in a project leadership or management role.
• Proficiency in PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, or Cadence Allegro.
• Experience with embedded firmware development in C/C++ and debugging using JTAG or logic analyzers.
• Knowledge of IPC-2221, IPC-A-610, and UL certification processes.
• Strong understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal management in PCB layouts.
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and hardware documentation tools (Confluence, Jira).
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, DFM, and supply chain coordination.
• Ability to assess technical risks and propose mitigations while balancing cost, schedule, and performance trade-offs.

• Lead collaboration between hardware engineers, firmware developers, and third-party vendors to deliver high-quality prototypes within budget.

• Present technical and business updates to stakeholders, including executive leadership, to secure project approvals and resources.
