Key job responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and manage Occupational Health services across Italy, ensuring high-quality support and compliance with local health, safety, and medical regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation affecting workplace health and ensure compliance with Amazon’s policies and all relevant local regulations.
- Define, monitor, and report health-related metrics to the Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Global Medical and Health (GMH) Team Leadership to measure program success, identify areas for improvement, and shape global and regional health strategies.
- Oversee the proactive identification, assessment, and mitigation of workplace health risks, including physical and psychosocial factors, and develop programs to safeguard employee well-being.

- BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree-qualified Physician specializing in Occupational Health
- Registered Healthcare professional in Italy with specialization in Occupational Health/Medicine
- Clinical experience and knowledge of Italy's Occupational Health legislation and requirements
- Experience leading Occupational Health services
- Expertise in Injury or Illness Prevention (Ergonomics, Psychosocial risks, Environmental risks, Industrial Hygiene), including delivering preventative healthcare programs
- Experience managing first aid and emergency response services and standards
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), leadership, teamwork, analytical and judgment skills, customer focus, result-oriented working methods, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to support executive priorities with strong writing and communication skills
- Data-literate with a project/program and analytical mindset, complemented by clinical expertise
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in occupational health management, health sciences, health promotion, health economics, or related postgraduate studies, along with relevant professional experience
- Additional specialization in Ergonomics, Psychosocial risks, Environmental risks, Industrial Hygiene, or similar fields
- Experience in Health Management within retail logistics, manufacturing, or production environments
- Creative problem-solving skills and a wealth of ideas
