A technology consultancy based in Milan or Bari is looking for an Oracle DBA to handle production support for Oracle databases. The role requires expertise in Oracle technologies, problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead during crisis situations. Ideal candidates will also possess strong communication skills and a proactive approach. The position allows for hybrid working arrangements.

Job Description

• Expert knowledge of Oracle technology, capable of handling complex issues independently, providing resolutions within SLAs, ensuring customer satisfaction, and adhering to policies and procedures.
• Creative thinkers willing to innovate and passionate about challenging initiatives will be preferred.
• Responsible for production support of Oracle databases and serving as a Subject Matter Expert for the support team.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• Investigate and resolve database performance issues.
• Lead the database team during crisis calls, participate in MIR and PIR, and mentor team members.
• Experience in maintaining complex High Availability and Replication setups.
• Provide consultancy for complex setups and Disaster Recovery planning.
• Identify automation opportunities, develop automation solutions to reduce manual efforts, and standardize processes.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Oracle concepts like RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate.
• Expertise in Oracle versions 12c and 19c, OEM.
• Experience in building and deploying solutions, capacity planning, and DR planning.
• Troubleshooting performance issues and providing solutions.
• Expertise in role swap, failover planning, and implementation.
• Strong knowledge of database space management.
• Experience in implementing releases and handling service requests.
• Expertise in GoldenGate replication.

Additional Skills

• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud.
• Knowledge of UNIX-based OS.
• Knowledge of MongoDB, Db2 LUW technology.
• Knowledge of automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, Tanium.
• Understanding of Agile practices and DevOps tools.
• Ability to manage tasks efficiently, take ownership, and be proactive.
• Clear, precise, and timely communication with customers, team members, and management.
