Overview

RINA is currently recruiting for the Optic system engineer to join its office in Roma within the Electronics and System Engineering Division.

Mission

The System Engineer supports the Client in the development of system solutions.

Key Accountabilities

• Requirement Management: to collaborate with Client’s development team to specify and maintain system requirements, including functional, non-functional, and interface requirements.
• System Functionality Definition: to identify and describe the key functionalities of the system, considering requirements and final user needs.
• System Configuration Management: to manage changes in system requirements and configuration during the development process, ensuring they are evaluated, documented, and implemented appropriately.
• System Test and Integration: to manage system testing and integration (in factory or on field).
• Document Management: to support the writing of project technical documentation and the development of reports/summaries also in the form of presentations.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering General

Qualifications

identification of optics for illumination and recording, evaluation of brightfield and darkfield settings, lighting calculations, design of LED and laser sources, selection of recording sensors. Technical Knowledge: knowledge in front-edge optic technologies with experience in drafting system requirements and their verification and validation. Knowledge of SW modelling tools (eg. Matlab / Simulink). Use of Engineering tools: e.g. Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), 2D/3D rendering software or CAD and finite elements codes programs.
