Description

The Energy Market Analytics team is looking for a Modeling Analyst in Energy Markets Analytics to support power price forecasting (PPF) services in Italy. The role involves working with proprietary models and tools utilizing fundamental statistical and artificial intelligence methods. DNV's power price forecasting combines a fundamental approach (dispatch models) with statistical and AI techniques to understand market agent interactions in energy and ancillary services markets.

The candidate will join a young, dynamic team with a clear mandate to expand market coverage and scope of work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine advanced energy models to forecast electricity market trends and prices, and optimize asset utilization such as battery energy storage systems.
• Create and maintain sophisticated data mining tools to extract, process, and analyze large datasets.
• Assist the quantitative analysis team with market analysis, power market newsletter reporting, and quarterly updates for the power analytics platform.
