A leading engineering firm is seeking a Mechanical Handling Expert in Lombardy, Brescia. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in EPC projects and a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Responsibilities include designing and managing mechanical handling systems, supporting multidisciplinary teams, and developing 3D models. Candidates must be fluent in English and possess strong problem-solving abilities.

Job Summary / Role description

We are currently seeking a highly qualified Mechanical Handling Expert to join our engineering team within the Oil & Gas sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, selection, and management of mechanical handling systems in complex onshore and offshore environments, contributing to the execution of major EPC projects.

Duties and responsibilities

• Knowledge is required on both EPC projects and operational plants, suitable to allow for the role of discipline leader in the home office engineering development of EPC contract;
• Support for technical disciplines in defining handling solutions for petrochemical plants, contributing to improved safety, efficiency, and operational reliability, and in the development of 3D models, directly managing customers, vendors and subcontractors;
• Design, select, and manage complex mechanical handling systems;

Experience

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Technical Diploma or equivalent qualifications
• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience EPC Projects

Skills and Abilities

• Fluent English
• The ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and manage interpersonal relationships is required.
• Problem solving attitude.
• Lifting and handling systems (cranes, winches, overhead hoists, etc.)
• Risk analysis (HAZID, HAZOP, Lifting Plans)
