The re:Cycle Reverse Logistics organization’s Operations Integration team is seeking a detail‑oriented, curious, and self‑driven Manager of System Operations who will support the organization by maintaining and continuously improving day‑to‑day global system operations. This includes managing and prioritizing system incidents or “bugs” for resolution with a third‑party service provider, evaluating and driving quality, reliability and accuracy in system performance and in the data captured by the system, conducting regular audits to proactively assess for system, reporting and production security threats, analyzing system and operational KPIs to identify and drive continuous improvement, and acting as the primary liaison to manage system escalations, last‑mile system changes and requirements gathering for non‑self‑serviceable system enhancements. In addition to managing a variety of system‑related metrics, this role is responsible for overseeing the team’s global System Administrators and Data Stewards who ensure 100% reliability in the data extracted from these systems that feeds 70+ data tables for financial, environmental sustainability, and regulatory reporting. This role frequently interfaces with the system’s third‑party service provider to manage functional and data incidents and user licensing, and to facilitate regular performance reviews.

This role offers an exciting blend of people, systems, operation and data management in a high‑performing product team that guarantees system readiness in support of global warehouse operations that maximize asset lifecycle value and environmental sustainability for used electronics.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a high‑performing team of System Administrators and Data Stewards to ensure optimum output and balance, and to manage shifting dynamics as the fast‑growing organization evolves.
  • Manage ticket queues, prioritization, tradeoffs and stakeholder communications for system feature and data incidents, ensuring that the biggest impacts are remedied and root‑caused with 3P service providers and internal software teams as quickly as possible.
  • Own and regularly present metrics, findings, priorities and communications to both internal and external stakeholders and leadership to manage timelines and expectations.
  • Conduct and coordinate system, data and operation security audits to proactively identify and resolve vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct and coordinate systems, data, ticket queue and operation analyses to proactively identify and drive continuous improvements that optimize day‑to‑day operations.
  • Drive collaboration, alignment, documentation and communications to prepare systems and global operations for last‑mile system changes.
About the team

The re:Cycle Reverse Logistics organization offers worldwide cloud providers a centralized means to disassemble, sort, function test, in‑warranty return, repair/refurbish, erase/wipe and disposition server and networking assets that break or are no longer needed. The organization depends on the Operations Integration team to maintain, continuously improve and develop new features in their warehouse management and allocation systems that process and monitor assets from arrival to departure through sales across five global facilities, ensuring reliable and repeatable operational and asset safety, security, traceability, business value and productivity are supported and reported through joint systems.

Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years of software systems management and/or 3+ years operations management in a warehousing, supply chain, manufacturing or reverse logistics environment.
  • 2+ years of direct‑report people management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Warehouse Operations, Information Systems, Data Science or related, or 4+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 2+ years using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing a remote or globally distributed team.
  • Proven track record for improving metrics and performance to SLA.
  • Hands‑on experience using warehouse management and/or inventory control systems.
  • Experience managing a 3rd‑party vendor.
  • Experience using data mining and data visualization tools (SQL, Tableau, QuickSight etc.).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to translate complex problems using non‑technical terms.
  • Experience using AWS platforms (S3, RedShift etc.).
