Purpose of the position: As Liquidated Damages Officer you will respond to the Liquidated Damages Management and be part of the Supply Chain.
How can you support us?
Assess Contractual Entitlement to Liquidated Damages: Review supply contracts, project documentation, and performance records to determine whether contractual conditions for the application of Liquidated Damages have been met, and evaluate the Company's entitlement to claim compensation for delays or contractual breaches.
Calculate and Validate Liquidated Damages: Collect and analyze information from corporate systems and project stakeholders, perform Liquidated Damages calculations in accordance with contractual provisions, and prepare the supporting documentation required for internal validation and approval.
Manage Supplier Notifications and Responses: Prepare and coordinate formal LD notifications to suppliers and subcontractors, monitor correspondence, review suppliers' justifications and supporting evidence, and update the assessment whenever new contractual information becomes available.
Coordinate with Internal Stakeholders: Liaise with Project Managers, Contract Managers, Procurement, Supply Chain and other relevant functions to gather evidence, obtain required concurrences, align recovery strategies, and ensure the proper management of LD files throughout their lifecycle.
Support Negotiations and Closure of LD Cases: Contribute to negotiations, settlement discussions, waiver evaluations, and recovery strategies aimed at achieving the best commercial outcome for the Company, while ensuring accurate reporting and timely closure of LD cases.
What are we looking for?
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Law
Background: 2/3 years of previous experience in Contract Management, Supply Chain, Procurement (within the Oil & Gas, Energy, Engineering or Construction industry will be considered a plus)
Languages: good proficiency in both written and spoken English
Technical/IT Knowledge: SAP, Teams, Outlook, MS Office main apps.
What else should you know? Some travelling will be expected within Italy and/or abroad.
