Saipem, Milano-based, seeks a Shipping and Customs Coordinator to manage national and international transportation, customs compliance, and logistics coordination across the energy sector. The role requires a technical degree and 6–10 years of experience, with travel involved.

The candidate will interface with procurement, expediting, inspection, and vendors, using SAP and standard office tools to monitor shipments and KPIs. Hybrid work is offered in Milano.

Competenze

• Master's or bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 6–10 years of experience as Shipping and Customs Coordinator in Oil & Gas or Energy sectors.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Some travel expected within Italy and abroad.

Mansioni

• Oversee national and international transportation to ensure on-schedule delivery.
• Coordinate import/export customs procedures ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Serve as liaison between Procurement, Expediting, Inspection, Material Management, Project Logistics Managers, freight forwarders, brokers, and vendors.
• Maintain logistics tracking systems and project reporting tools and monitor KPIs.
• Assist in defining delivery terms, packing specs, tenders, and evaluations related to logistics contracts.

Purpose of the position:

As Shipping and Customs Coordinator, you will respond to the Onshore Shipping & Customs Management and be part of the Supply Chain.

How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:

• Oversee all national and international transportation activities, ensuring that materials and equipment are delivered to their final destination safely, on schedule, and in compliance with contractual requirements
• Coordinate and monitor import and export customs formalities, ensuring full compliance with customs, fiscal, and trade regulations in both the country of origin and the destination country.
• Act as the focal point between Procurement, Expediting, Inspection, Material Management, Project Logistics Managers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and vendors to ensure a seamless logistics flow throughout the supply chain
• Maintain logistics tracking systems and project reporting tools, such as Shipping Status Report, Material Status Reports and shipment KPIs, monitoring delivery progress and proactively managing potential delays or logistics issues
• Contribute to the definition of delivery terms, packing and transportation specifications, transport tenders, and technical-commercial evaluations related to logistics and transportation service contracts

What are we looking for?

Education: Master's Degree/bachelor’s degree in technical field

Experience: 6-10years as a Shipping and Customs Coordinator within Oil & Gas industry and Energy industry

Languages: English, good proficiency in both written and spoken

Technical/IT Skills: Interpretation of technical drawings, oversight of equipment shipments.SAP, Teams, Outlook, MS Office main apps.

What else should you know? Some travelling will be expected within Italy and/or abroad.
