Job summary

Saipem is seeking a Senior Contract Manager to lead contractual strategy and commercial risk management for major international tenders and projects. You will guide commercial decisions and manage contractual risks throughout tendering and execution phases.

Requirements include a master’s or bachelor’s degree, 10+ years in contract management in energy or infra, fluent French, and strong skills in risk assessment, claims management, dispute resolution, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Law, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics or equivalent disciplines.
• At least 10 years of experience in Contract Management in international projects.
• Fluent in French.
• Advanced knowledge of contract management principles and international contracting practices.
• Strong expertise in contractual risk assessment and mitigation.
• Proven experience in claims management and dispute resolution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Define and implement contractual strategies for major tenders, projects and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk management principles.
• Lead complex contractual and commercial negotiations with Clients, Joint Venture and Consortium Partners, and key Suppliers during both bidding and execution phases.
• Advise senior management on significant contractual matters, commercial opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
• Support claims management, dispute resolution activities and strategic contractual decisions during project execution, safeguarding company interests.
• Promote contractual best practices across the organization, mentoring Contract Management personnel and contributing to the development of contractual competencies.

Purpose of the position: As Senior Contract Manager, you will report to the Head of Contract Management and be part of the Commercial & Contract Management Function.

In this role, you will provide strategic contractual leadership on major international opportunities and projects, supporting senior management in commercial decision-making and ensuring the effective management of contractual and commercial risks throughout the tendering and project execution phases.

What are we looking for?

Education: Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Law, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics or equivalent disciplines.

Experience: At least 10 years of experience in Contract Management, gained within engineering, construction, energy, infrastructure or comparable international project environments.

Languages:

• Fluent in French

Technical/IT Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of contract management principles and international contracting practices.
• Strong expertise in contractual risk assessment and mitigation.
• Proven experience in claims management and dispute resolution.
• Solid understanding of commercial management processes in complex international projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
