Role Description

Arcadis is looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to assist our Engineering & Construction team. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary design team through all project phases, from preliminary or concept design to execution, ensuring projects meet agreed deadlines and client requests. You will support day-to-day operations, deepen your knowledge of mechanical systems, and contribute to project success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support feasibility studies, preliminary, final and executive design of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems for civil and industrial buildings;
  • Interact with different disciplines in an integrated design context;
  • Interact and coordinate with the Arcadis Excellence Center for detailed design;
  • Monitor, verify and review technical documents and graphics produced by third parties;
  • Support project development in BIM on Revit software;
  • Support technical reports and project specifications, Legge 10 report and energy certifications;
  • Support due diligence activities and technical appraisals;
  • Support energy modeling using calculation software.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong interest in mechanical systems for buildings;
  • About 2 years of working experience in similar roles;
  • Master’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering;
  • Excellent level of English and Italian (at least B2);
  • Good level in the use of software such as Revit, AutoCAD;
  • Thorough knowledge of BIM methodology;
  • Basic knowledge of technical legislation for ventilation systems (UNI and ASHRAE), plumbing and drainage and energy consumption containment (Lombardy Region and national areas);
  • Team attitude and willingness to learn from senior colleagues;
  • Proactive and positive mindset;
  • Ability to maintain productivity during remote‑work/work from home scenarios.
