Job Summary:
As a Junior F&A Controller, your goal will be to support day-to-day accounting, reporting and cash-flow monitoring. You will assist in month-end closing, reconciliations, budgeting, and KPI tracking, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
This job is ideal for a detail-oriented graduate eager to grow in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
The job is based in our Bari (Italy) office, with 2 days of remote-working allowed per week.
Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day accounting activities (AP, AR, general ledger postings) in coordination with the CEO-CFO
- Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities
- Prepare and update account reconciliations (banks, customers, suppliers, payroll, VAT, etc.)
- Help maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting system
- Support preparation of management reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash-flow, variance analysis)
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting cycles by collecting data, updating templates and checking consistency
- Monitor key financial KPIs (revenues, margins, OPEX, cash burn, DSO/DPO, etc.) and highlight anomalies or trends
- Assist in the preparation of cash-flow projections and weekly/monthly cash monitoring
- Support invoice processing, payment runs and expense report checks, ensuring correct coding and approvals
- Perform basic cost and margin analyses on products, projects or business lines, under the guidance of senior controllers
- Help ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting principles and tax requirements
- Collect and organize documentation needed for statutory audits, tax inspections and internal reviews
- Contribute to the documentation and improvement of finance & administration procedures and controls
- Help maintain and improve reporting files/dashboards (Excel, Google Sheets, etc.)
- Respond to ad-hoc requests from management for data, reports or analysis
- Maintain organized digital archives of contracts, invoices and other administrative documentation
- Proactively identify data inconsistencies or process issues and suggest pragmatic improvements
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or Finance (or other equivalent-related degree)
- Knowledge of Excel and Google Timesheets
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Intermediate to Advanced English, spoken and written
