Job summary

Deliveroo is seeking a Consumer Strategy & Operations professional to develop and execute growth strategies in Italy. You’ll be part of the Market Growth team within EMEA Consumer Strategy & Operations, working with Italy’s General Manager to define priority cities and deliver growth playbooks.

This cross-functional role partners with Product, Marketing, Analytics and Finance, requiring strong analytical thinking, structured communication, and sound commercial judgment.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in strategy, consulting, business operations or growth roles in tech or consumer business.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work from incomplete data.
• Clear, concise communication, able to influence across teams and up to GM level.
• Collaborative mindset with ability to work across diverse teams.
• (Bonus) Experience in marketplaces, consumer tech, food delivery, multi-market ops, or the Italian market.

Responsibilities

• Be the GM’s growth partner: help define priority cities, and formulate plans to grow in those cities.
• Understand the behaviours and needs of Italian consumers, and use that to influence the Product roadmaps across pricing, Plus, and the core user experience.
• Carry learnings from EMEA and the US into the market.
• Co-own Italy’s consumer growth metrics, ensuring we hit the topline. Partner with Analytics to diagnose performance drivers and develop corrective action plans where needed.
• Support the GM in annual and quarterly planning: help define the strategy, set the goals, run the workshops, and co-own the output documents with F&S.
• Programme-manage growth plans and support the local team to deliver them, including ad-hoc cross-functional projects.
