Cross Border Talents is seeking an Operations Customer Expert to deliver exceptional customer support for a UK-founded digital bank. You will be the first point of contact via phone, email or chat, resolving inquiries quickly while upholding the company’s standards.

You will handle a wide range of banking-related issues, support fraud investigations, and assist with disputes and complaints. The role is based on-site in Lisbon with rotational shifts and paid training.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and spoken Italian (C1).
• Good written and spoken English (B2+).
• At least 1 year of experience in banking, financial services or insurance.
• Strong communication, empathy and customer focus.
• Independent decision making in complex situations.
• Willingness to learn and share knowledge.
• Adaptability and ability to switch between tasks and systems.
• Collaborative, emotionally intelligent with a values-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries via chat, phone and email to resolve issues at first contact.
• Take ownership of issues from start to finish, including complex cases.
• Support fraud investigations, disputes and complaints with care.
• Identify vulnerable customers and escalate when required.
• Coach teammates and provide feedback to improve training and processes.
• Remain flexible to changing business and customer needs.
