Job summary

Cross Border Talents is recruiting an Operations Customer Expert in Lisbon to provide exceptional customer support across chat, phone and email channels. You will resolve inquiries quickly using established procedures and show judgement in handling a wide range of banking issues.

The role requires Italian (C1) and English (B2+) fluency, and at least 1 year in banking or financial services. Relocation support and a €1,000 signing bonus accompany a 40-hour weekly schedule with on-site work.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and spoken Italian (C1) and English (B2+).
• At least 1 year of experience in banking, financial services or insurance.
• Strong communication, empathy and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to make independent decisions in complex situations.
• Willingness to learn new tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries via chat, phone and email with first-contact resolution whenever possible.
• Own issues from start to finish, including complex cases, delivering fair outcomes.
• Support fraud investigations, disputes, and complaints with accuracy and care.
• Identify vulnerable customers and provide appropriate support with escalation where needed.
• Coach teammates and provide feedback to improve training and processes.
• Remain flexible and responsive to changing business and customer needs.
