Job summary

Cross Border Talents is seeking an Operations Customer Expert in Lisbon, Portugal. You will be the first point of contact via phone, email or chat, providing outstanding customer support and helping customers resolve banking inquiries quickly.

The role requires native Italian (C1) and strong English (B2+), at least one year in banking or financial services, and the ability to make independent decisions. You’ll work on-site with rotation shifts, 40 hours per week, and benefit from a welcome

Qualifications

• Excellent written and spoken Italian (C1).
• Good written and spoken English (B2+).
• At least 1 year in banking/financial services.
• Strong communication, empathy and customer focus.
• Able to make independent decisions in complex situations.
• Willingness to learn and share knowledge.
• Able to adapt to changing tasks and systems.
• Collaborative with emotional intelligence and risk awareness.
• Familiar with Slack and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer inquiries via chat, phone and email to resolve at first contact.
• Own issues from start to finish, including complex cases.
• Support fraud investigations, disputes and complaints with care.
• Identify vulnerable customers and provide appropriate support.
• Coach teammates and provide feedback to improve processes.
• Remain flexible to changing business and customer needs.
