Job summary

Cross Border Talents is assisting a UK-founded digital bank for an Operations Customer Expert in Lisbon. You will be the first point of contact via phone, email, or chat, handling inquiries with efficiency and empathy.

The role requires Italian C1 and English B2+, at least 1 year in banking, and a customer-focused mindset. On-site in Lisbon with 40-hour weeks, paid training, and a comprehensive relocation package.

Qualifications

• Italian language at C1 level required.
• English language at B2+ level required.
• At least 1 year in banking/financial services/insurance.
• Strong communication, empathy and customer focus.
• Ability to make independent decisions in complex situations.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to change.
• Strong collaboration and emotional intelligence.
• Familiar with Slack and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries via chat, phone and email, resolving at first contact.
• Own issues from start to finish, including complex cases, upholding company values.
• Support fraud investigations, dispute resolution and complaints with care.
• Identify vulnerable customers and provide appropriate support.
• Coach teammates and provide feedback to improve training and processes.
• Remain flexible and responsive to changing business needs.
