Four Corners is recruiting a Head of HR on behalf of a leading retail company in Italy. The role sits on the Executive Leadership Team and acts as a key partner to the Country CEO, leading a team of 4 HR professionals across Italy.

The Head of HR will drive a comprehensive people agenda, lead change management, build a high-performing retail culture, ensure compliance with Italian labor law and CCNL, and align human capital strategies with commercial objectives across a multi-site network.

Competenze

• 10+ years in progressive HR leadership roles in retail/consumer sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Italian labor law, CCNL, and union relations.
• Fluent English; a second foreign language is a plus.

Four Corners is a recruiter specialised in search and selection of professionals and managers in the Fashion, Luxury and Beauty market. On behalf of a retail company, we are looking for a:

Head of HR

The incumbent will lead the People & Culture department during a pivotal phase of business transformation. Sitting on the Executive Leadership Team, he/she will act as a key partner to the Country CEO. In this role, the Head of HR will lead a team of 4 HR professionals and drive a comprehensive HR agenda across an extensive retail store network in Italy.

He/she will be instrumental in leading organizational change management, building a high-performing retail culture, and aligning human capital strategies with our broader commercial objectives.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Country CEO and Leadership Team to define and execute the people strategy that supports company growth and organizational evolution.
• Lead and champion change management initiatives, guiding leadership, corporate staff, and retail teams through business transitions and organizational restructurings.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders on talent management, organizational design, and employee relations.
• Oversee all core HR functions, including Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, Performance Management, and Industrial/Labor Relations.
• Direct and mentor an HR team of 4 professionals, fostering their growth, productivity, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ensure full compliance with Italian labor laws, retail national collective agreements (CCNL), and company policies across all retail and corporate operations.
• Develop and implement HR programs tailored to the unique dynamics of a multi-site retail environment.
• Conduct regular site visits to retail locations across Italy to maintain strong connection with field teams, gauge store climate, and support local store managers.
• Foster a strong, inclusive corporate culture that connects head office operations with store-level staff.

Requirements

• 10+ years in progressive HR leadership roles, with demonstrable experience operating as a Head of HR, Senior HR Manager, or HR Director.
• Deep knowledge of retail operations, store dynamics, and field-workforce management within the beauty, fashion, or consumer goods sectors.
• Proven track record of successfully driving organizational change, culture shifts, or business transformation initiatives.
• Solid, end-to-end expertise across all HR pillars, including Italian labor law and union relations.
• Ability to translate business goals into actionable HR strategies and measure their impact.
• Fluent English is required. Proficiency in a second foreign language is considered a strong plus.
