The Role

We are expanding our team and are looking for a Field Support Engineer, based in Italy (Milan area), ready to deliver high-quality technical support to our European customers.

This is a hybrid office / home office position with a strong field-support component—a dynamic role ideal for those who enjoy travelling, solving technical challenges, and building strong customer relationships.

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer support both remotely and on-site.
• Perform annual maintenance, emergency repairs, and firmware / hardware upgrades.
• Accurately document all interventions according to ISO quality guidelines using our online CRM system.
• Independently organise travel within Italy and Europe, optimising time and cost.
• Work closely with the European team, including regular training trips to our UK support centre.
• Support customers throughout Europe, with a focus on Italy, Central Europe, and the Nordic regions.

Requirements

• Experience in biomedical, mechanical or electrical fields, with strong mechanical aptitude.
• Biological background preferred; experience in cytogenetics a strong asset.
• Fluent in English, with excellent written communication skills.
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in a technical or field-based role.
• Strong problem-solving skills, autonomy, initiative, and a collaborative mindset.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Clean and valid driving licence.

Proficiency

Proficiency with MS Office and remote support applications.
