Data Strategy & Governance Associate Manager
Sisal, part of the Flutter online sports betting and iGaming group, is seeking a Data Strategy & Governance Associate Manager to support the definition and implementation of the data strategy for the Southern Europe & Africa region.
What you’ll do
- Collect data‑related technical needs from business and tech teams, translating them into strategic Data Initiatives.
- Support the design of the Data Strategy roadmap by assessing feasibility, risks, constraints, and expected impact.
- Monitor technological and market trends to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in data practices.
- Support the evaluation and selection of technological solutions aligned with Data Initiatives and AI adoption requirements.
- Oversee key processes to ensure alignment with data needs, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement areas.
- Contribute to the definition of technical guidelines (e.g., naming conventions, formats, metadata, traceability standards).
- Analyze technical dependencies across Data Initiatives and assess both tech and business implications.
- Monitor the effectiveness and impact of adopted data solutions, ensuring coherence with the Data Strategy and AI governance.
- Facilitate alignment between Data Engineering, AI Strategy, and business units to ensure accurate data flows for AI, analytics, and operational use cases.
- Support governance processes by contributing to documentation, frameworks, and best practices for data quality and traceability.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience (3–5 years) in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Data Governance, or technical roles focused on data processing and data platforms.
- Solid understanding of data pipelines, data lifecycle, metadata management, and data modelling principles.
- Experience in defining technical requirements and translating business needs into data solutions or initiatives.
- Knowledge of data architecture (data platforms and modern data stack technologies).
- Familiarity with governance frameworks, data quality processes, and best practices for naming, lineage, and documentation.
- Ability to analyse the impact of technical decisions on business outcomes and system architecture.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including tech, business, sustainability, and AI governance.
- Fluency in Italian and good command of English, written and spoken.
