Position Summary

We are hiring a Continuous Improvement Engineer II to join our team based in Pomezia (Rome).

He/she will lead the of Lean principles, tools, systems, and behaviors within manufacturing operations; partners with cross-functional teams to identify and execute key improvement initiatives that enhance safety, product quality, delivery performance, while driving business value through waste elimination and reaching the efficiency and productivity targets.

He/she will deliver hands‑on training to shop floor and support teams on Lean Manufacturing tools such as Kanban, Process Mapping, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Visual Management, Lean Layout and Yamazumi facilitating Kaizen events.

He/she will oversee project activities including stakeholder communication, timeline management, meeting facilitation, data collection and analysis, solution implementation, and performance tracking.

Duties
  • Serves as a technical expert in Lean tools and principles including SMED, standard work, 5S, Value Stream and Process Mapping, A3 problem solving, Tier Cascading/Daily Management System, Kanban, 2P/3P, Yamazumi etc.
  • Conduct in‑person training for the shopfloor ranging from Lean onboarding to problem solving & Lean principles and tools as per the Lean Course Catalog.
  • Perform hands‑on execution of Lean transformation projects.
  • Facilitate & co‑facilitate Kaizen events or workshops; monitor and measure follow‑up activities to ensure sustainment of results. Maintain records of Kaizen event metrics.
  • Estimate production or process times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions including Capital Expenditure requests.
  • Perform cost/benefit and productivity analysis.
  • Provide guidance and support to stakeholders participating as a member of the Local Lean Steering and GEMBA walk in the shopfloor.
  • Other duties that may be assigned.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Management or Engineering General
Required Experience & Competencies
  • 3-5 years working in environments where CI and lean principles are applied.
  • Bachelor's degree: Management Engineering/Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience in a similar related industry/work environment (e.g. manufacturing, distribution, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, as well as communication skills to work with and influence a wider range of levels in the organization (from the shopfloor to the Management).
  • Demonstrated effective skills: knowledge of statistical tools, Lean project implementation, facilitation of trainings and Kaizen events.
  • Fluent in English, both written and oral.
  • Green Belt Certification is a plus.
