To strengthen its administrative team, we are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to be based in Melfi (Italy), joining a structured and stable project within the renewable energy sector.

Location and work model

📍 The position is based in Melfi (Italy) and requires residence in the area.

The role follows a hybrid working model, combining office-based and remote work. Regular on-site presence in Melfi is therefore essential.

Main mission

To manage the company’s accounting activities accurately and efficiently, supporting the financial management of wind energy projects and contributing to the financial stability and regulatory compliance of SPIE Wind Italy.

Key responsibilities

• Full management of general and analytical accounting, including invoicing, bank transactions, and reconciliations.
• Preparation and review of tax declarations and periodic accounting closings.
• Preparation and support in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Italian and European accounting standards (IFRS).
• Collaboration with internal teams for the financial monitoring of wind energy projects.
• Liaison with tax advisors, auditors, and relevant authorities.
• Analysis and monitoring of operating costs related to wind farms.
• Regular use of SAP Business One for recording and controlling accounting transactions.
• Review of invoices against purchase orders and delivery notes, resolving discrepancies and ensuring accurate and timely payments.
• Preparation of financial reports for the parent company and Italian authorities.
• Compliance with internal procedures related to safety and environmental standards.

Requirements

• University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in industrial or energy-related environments.
• Fluent professional Italian.
• English level C1, required for communication with international teams and stakeholders.
• Proven hands‑on experience with SAP Business One and solid proficiency in accounting IT tools.
• Strong knowledge of national and European accounting principles.
• High attention to detail, autonomy, analytical mindset, and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Knowledge of Spanish is considered a plus.
