We are looking for an Apparel Fit Specialist (M/F) in our Milan Office.

Reporting to the Product Development Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring fit and sizing meet Rossignol standards. You will work closely with designers, product developers, merchandisers and manufacturers to create fit specifications that meet the end use of Rossignol Apparel. You’ll work cross‑functionally and have strong communication skills. You have a strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making skills and performance fit requirements.


Your missions will include:


  • Interpret and execute design intent to align fit with functional and aesthetic goals

  • Lead and conduct garment fit sessions using live models and mannequins, analyzing fit, balance, and construction

  • Develop and maintain precise measurement specifications and grading rules to guarantee consistency across styles

  • Evaluate samples from first prototypes through pre‑production to ensure optimal fit and provide clear improvement directives to vendors

  • Document and communicate detailed fit comments and recommendations to garment vendors

  • Collaborate with the development team to create and maintain fit blocks and a comprehensive block library

  • Maintain consistency in fit standards and grading accuracy across all product categories

  • Refine patterns, troubleshoot fit challenges, and propose effective solutions to uphold fit quality

  • Ensure garments meet end‑use requirements, including appropriate range of motion and performance standards

  • Partner with vendors to implement pattern adjustments based on fit analysis

  • Deliver clear, concise feedback to internal teams and external partners regarding fit corrections and improvements

  • Keep fit standards current and aligned with brand expectations

  • Collaborate closely with designers, developers, merchandisers, and vendors throughout the product development process


About you:


  • Degree in patternmaking, apparel engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in patternmaking for technical garments, ideally within performance apparel.

  • Proven expertise in technical patternmaking, with a strong understanding of range of motion and garment functionality.

  • Proficiency in patternmaking software, MS Office, and Adobe Illustrator.

  • Highly collaborative, with a passion for building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify and clearly communicate fit issues.

  • Recognized for problem‑solving skills, adaptability to changing priorities, and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) to convey technical information effectively.
