Abbott is seeking an Ambassador in Rome, Italy to manage and expand key accounts, strengthen customer relationships, and improve profitability. You will forecast revenue, lead strategic account management, and support post-sales implementation with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 1–3 years in diagnostics, fluency in Italian and English, and strong communication and solution-selling skills. Travel up to 75%.

Competenze

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; fields preferred include Biomedical Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Technology, Biology, Pharmacy, or Business.
  • 1–3 years of experience in the diagnostics industry focusing on account management and profitability.
  • Proven success in similar roles with strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.

## **JOB DESCRIPTION:**## **Primary Function****Abbott Ambassador**The Abbott Ambassador is responsible for managing and expanding existing accounts, managing and strengthening customer relationships, and improving account profitability.**Key Responsibilities*** Full revenue accountability, including forecasting and achievement of target performance.* Act as a trusted partner and advisor, serving as Abbott’s primary point of contact for customers.* Manage and drive account development, including key activities such as strategic account management and post-sales implementation processes.* Identify opportunities for new product and menu expansion and support sales activities.* Prepare and conduct regular business reviews with customers.* Manage routine renewals of core business accounts and negotiate long-term contracts.* Support the implementation of new tests.* Provide ongoing customer training and coaching as required.* Oversee the progress of cross-functional implementation teams (post-sales) together with the Project Manager.* Success in this role is measured through business profitability, customer satisfaction score (NPS), contract renewal rate, and managed revenue.**Education and Required Skills*** Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. A degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Technology, Biology, Pharmacy, or Business is preferred.* 1 to 3 years of experience in the diagnostics industry, with a focus on managing and expanding existing accounts, strengthening customer relationships, and improving account profitability.* Proven success in a similar role, supported by management references and customer testimonials.* Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with customers, including senior management and key stakeholders.* Strong product and industry knowledge.* Solid understanding of customer decision-making processes and stakeholder dynamics.* Strong solution-selling and relationship-building skills.* Excellent communication skills.* Ability to identify issues and lead problem-solving efforts.* Long-term strategic account management mindset.* Fluency in the local language and English is required; additional languages are considered an advantage.**Employment Classification:** Employee, Level B1, Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL).**Gross Annual Salary (RAL): min** €46,000 max €60,000.**Target Bonus:** 20%.**The base pay for this position is**N/AIn specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.## **JOB FAMILY:**Sales Force## **DIVISION:**CRLB Core Lab## **LOCATION:**Italy > Rome : Via Giorgio Ribotta 9## **ADDITIONAL LOCATIONS:**## **WORK SHIFT:**Standard## **TRAVEL:**Yes, 75 % of the Time## **MEDICAL SURVEILLANCE:**Not Applicable## **SIGNIFICANT WORK ACTIVITIES:**Not Applicable
