Abbott is seeking an Ambassador based in Italy (Rome) to manage and expand existing accounts, strengthen customer relationships, and improve profitability. You will forecast revenue, lead renewals, and coordinate post-sales implementations with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 1–3 years in diagnostics, plus strong communication and strategic selling skills. Fluency in Italian and English is expected. 75% travel is noted in the posting.

## **JOB DESCRIPTION:****Primary Function****Abbott Ambassador**The Abbott Ambassador is responsible for managing and expanding existing accounts, managing and strengthening customer relationships, and improving account profitability.**Key Responsibilities*** Full revenue accountability, including forecasting and achievement of target performance.* Act as a trusted partner and advisor, serving as Abbott’s primary point of contact for customers.* Manage and drive account development, including key activities such as strategic account management and post-sales implementation processes.* Identify opportunities for new product and menu expansion and support sales activities.* Prepare and conduct regular business reviews with customers.* Manage routine renewals of core business accounts and negotiate long-term contracts.* Support the implementation of new tests.* Provide ongoing customer training and coaching as required.* Oversee the progress of cross-functional implementation teams (post-sales) together with the Project Manager.* Success in this role is measured through business profitability, customer satisfaction score (NPS), contract renewal rate, and managed revenue.**Education and Required Skills*** Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. A degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Technology, Biology, Pharmacy, or Business is preferred.* 1 to 3 years of experience in the diagnostics industry, with a focus on managing and expanding existing accounts, strengthening customer relationships, and improving account profitability.* Proven success in a similar role, supported by management references and customer testimonials.* Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with customers, including senior management and key stakeholders.* Strong product and industry knowledge.* Solid understanding of customer decision-making processes and stakeholder dynamics.* Strong solution-selling and relationship-building skills.* Excellent communication skills.* Ability to identify issues and lead problem-solving efforts.* Long-term strategic account management mindset.* Fluency in the local language and English is required; additional languages are considered an advantage.**Employment Classification:** Employee, Level B1, Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL).**Gross Annual Salary (RAL): min** €46,000 max €60,000.**Target Bonus:** 20%.**The base pay for this position is**N/AIn specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.## **JOB FAMILY:**Sales Force## **DIVISION:**CRLB Core Lab## **LOCATION:**Italy > Rome : Via Giorgio Ribotta 9## **ADDITIONAL LOCATIONS:**## **WORK SHIFT:**Standard## **TRAVEL:**Yes, 75 % of the Time## **MEDICAL SURVEILLANCE:**Not Applicable## **SIGNIFICANT WORK ACTIVITIES:**Not Applicable
