Role Description
The Packaging Co-Ordinator is responsible for coordinating the availability of data required for all packaging items across the UK (co-pack and manufactured) and B.V. Traded business, supporting the Sustainability agenda (Princes Group and customers), monthly reporting, and circular economy strategy for Princes Group.
Principal Responsibilities
- Liaising with Packaging Development Managers on new packaging formats to ensure all sustainability and regulatory requirements are captured.
- Using reports to ensure all new SAP codes have a spec assigned; liaising with Packaging Development Managers and suppliers to address gaps.
- Circulating and chasing specification reviews using reports.
- Working with the Buying Assistant to maintain reports and data related to packaging materials for sustainability reporting.
- Creating and maintaining a live packaging items database, including physical samples.
- Coordinating and collecting packaging data for traded goods.
- Maintaining the system for Plastics Packaging Tax data collation and submitting quarterly reports for audit and approval.
- Creating and maintaining reports supporting legislative data submissions (e.g., DRS, EPR, PRNs, CSRD, SBT, customer, and business sustainability targets).
- Maintaining the database for customer sustainability targets and informing stakeholders of current status.
- Tracking Princes project plans for sustainability benefits.
- Preparing data for the Monthly Board report on Princes Group sustainability targets.
- Documenting and reviewing all processes related to sustainability data reporting.
- Reporting on vendor approval expiry and following up with suppliers.
Role Requirements
- Working knowledge of packaging, ideally within FMCG/food industry.
- Experience working in teams.
- Project management experience.
- Negotiation skills with internal and external contacts; capable of contributing in meetings.
- A Level qualification, ideally in food, packaging, technology, or business-related fields.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Advanced Excel skills.
