The position's primary focus will be in the areas of computer operations, user and desktop support (hardware and software), helpdesk, Microsoft Office, and networking support.
This is a first-line support role involving network, hardware, and Microsoft software support. You will also be responsible for managing software upgrades, and basic PC maintenance including moving PCs, installing new PCs, installing software on existing PCs, and daily checks of networks and servers.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who can work on their own initiative, solve problems, and make decisions. The candidate should demonstrate strong literacy skills, possess high organizational skills, and be able to multitask. Good attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft products are essential. The candidate should also be adaptable and able to function in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
The ideal candidate will exercise judgment and creativity in selecting and applying procedures correctly and will know when to refer problems to the manager or next level of support.
