Interim Sterile Services Manager
Job summary
A healthcare services provider in the UK is seeking a Senior Manager for Sterile Services to oversee departments providing decontamination services. You will lead a team to maintain high-quality standards and compliance with regulations. The role requires strong management and expertise in healthcare quality systems. This is a temporary position with an ASAP start date lasting 4 months.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in providing leadership in healthcare services.
- Expertise in decontamination and sterile services.
- Strong management skills with a focus on quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior leadership and management for departments.
- Manage staff and resources for high-quality decontamination services.
- Ensure compliance with quality systems and audit recommendations.
Rate: Band 8b
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 4 Months
Location: Midlands
- Provide senior leadership and management to the Trust’s departments that provide consumables and decontamination services predominantly to the Trust’s operating theatres.
- Manage the staff and resources within the Sterile Services Department providing an efficient and high quality decontamination service to all service users.
- Maintain the quality systems both within the Sterile Services and Theatres Supplies departments.
- Support the continued development and implementation of strategies for the effective provision of Sterile Services and decontamination.
- Provide expert decontamination advice to clinical teams/division.
- Take the lead role in the implementation of any recommendations made by any auditing body in relation to decontamination and sterile services across the Trust.
