We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chilled Warehouse Team Leader to join a busy warehouse and distribution operation in Tewkesbury. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic warehouse professional with food manufacturing, FMCG, or chilled logistics experience to lead a team in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment.
Days worked: 5 days over 7 Monday - Saturday
Hours: Minimum of 37.5 hours, five shifts per week
Start Times: 06:00 onwards, with finish times based on production demands
- Lead, supervise, and motivate warehouse operatives to achieve operational targets
- Manage stock movements, ensuring product codes match picking tickets
- Oversee safe and efficient loading and unloading of delivery vehicles
- Ensure safe manual handling procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised chilled warehouse environment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
- Provide training, coaching, and support to team members
- Cover for the Warehouse Supervisor as required
Important Note: This is a physically active role and requires manual handling.
- Proven experience in a busy warehouse environment - ideally in food manufacturing, FMCG, chilled distribution, or logistics
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a solutions-focused approach
- Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including early starts from 06:00
- Knowledge of safe working practices and strong attention to detail
- Ideally a current Counterbalance Forklift Licence or Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) licence - training available for suitable candidates
