A leading transport consultancy in Newcastle upon Tyne is looking for a skilled Transport Planner. You will design and implement transportation strategies for civil engineering projects, ensuring efficient systems for clients. Responsibilities include preparing assessments, conducting capacity evaluations, and supporting junior staff. The ideal candidate has advanced Microsoft Office skills, numeracy, and experience with relevant software. Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software packages.
- Strong numerical skills and familiarity with spreadsheets.
- Desirable experience with AutoCAD.
Responsabilités
- Prepare Transport Assessments and Statements.
- Coordinate Travel Plans and presentations.
- Conduct junction capacity assessments using ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG.
- Liaise with clients and authorities as needed.
- Ensure tasks are completed on-time and within budget.

We are looking for a skilled Transport Planner to join our team in the United Kingdom. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for designing and implementing transportation plans and strategies for various civil engineering projects. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient and sustainable transportation systems for our clients.
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office software packages
- Good levels of numeracy, including a good understanding of spreadsheets.
- Use of AutoCAD (desirable)
- Working experience / understanding of ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG
- Preparation of Transport Assessments and Transport Statements
- Preparation of Travel Plans as and Travel Plan Coordination
- Preparation and presentation of technical data and drawings
- Undertaking junction capacity assessments using ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG
- Liaison with clients, contractors and local / national authorities, as required
- To ensure that all assigned tasks / jobs are delivered on-time and to budget
- To check the quality and accuracy of work produced by junior team members
- Work collaboratively with the team and proactively support junior staff in developing their technical knowledge
- Support Team Leaders in the delivery of comprehensive advice to clients on Highways & Transport matters from preliminary advice / feasibility work
- Undertaking site appraisals/visits and designing surveys, through to providing input to written reports and presentational material
- Ensuring that all electronic and paper files on projects they are kept up-to-date
- Assistance with other related tasks, as required by your Team Leader
