Production Cleaning Operative - Flexible Hours
Job summary
A leading cleaning service provider in Wakefield is looking for a Cleaning Operative to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in a production environment. The role involves routine and deep cleaning of production areas and compliance with safety regulations. Ideal candidates should have strong attention to detail, be reliable, and enjoy working actively. Flexibility in working hours is required, and training will be provided for those without prior experience. This position offers a competitive hourly rate.
Qualifications
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Enjoy working in a hands-on, active role within a production environment.
- Ideally have previous cleaning experience in a production, manufacturing, or similar setting.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the site meets required hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards.
- Carry out routine and deep cleaning of production areas, equipment, and machinery.
- Clean and sanitise floors, walls, work surfaces, and touchpoints.
- Follow health & safety, food safety, and site hygiene regulations.
- Respond to spillages and cleaning issues promptly.
- Empty and dispose of waste in line with site procedures.
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies.
- Complete basic cleaning or hygiene records.
