UK Storage & Backup Engineer – Disaster Recovery Specialist
Job summary
A recruitment agency is seeking a Storage & Backup Engineer across the UK to provide support for SAN and backup environments. The candidate will manage backup configurations, maintain documentation, and handle disaster recovery. Familiarity with SAN switch commands, experienced in storage technologies, and PowerShell/Python scripting are essential. A clearance for security checks is required. This position offers a salary of £47-52,000 per annum along with permanent benefits.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with SAN switch management commands (Brocade and Cisco).
- Experience with storage management software.
- Knowledge of HP and EMC storage technologies.
Responsibilities
- Provide BAU support for SAN and backup environments.
- Manage end-to-end backup configuration and resolve failed backups.
- Maintain documentation and prepare management reports.
