A leading NHS community services provider in Woking is seeking a qualified Band 5 Podiatrist to deliver high-quality foot health services. The role entails assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and providing effective podiatric treatments across various clinical sites. Ideal candidates must possess a Podiatric Medicine degree, HCPC registration, and effective communication skills. Our caseload comprises of medium and high risk patients with complex medical conditions and high podiatric needs. There is also a domiciliary service for those who are not mobile and unable to travel to clinic.
The team offer a developmental/preceptorship post, enhancement and experience of specialist skills which can lead to future opportunities and career development.

Your role as a Band 5 Podiatrist will be to provide a highlyeffective, comprehensive foot health and protection service for the populationof CSH Surrey at a variety of clinical sites including in the patient's ownhome, working towards achieving the objectives and values of CSH Surrey.
Including:
Assessing, diagnosis, develop treatment plans and providing effective podiatric treatments, using a problem solving approach based on clinical needand evidence based practice. Care should have an emphasis on patientempowerment and independence by providing education and information to helppatients manage their own foot needs.
Working as an autonomous clinician within Professional, Departmental and CSH guidelines, part of a multidisciplinary team when required and act as asource of advice to patients, carers, GPs and other Health Care Professionals.
Will maintain clear, comprehensive and accurate records, participate inspecialist clinical rotations and actively participate in clinical support(clinical supervision) utilising reflective practice.
Keep up to date with clinical and professional developments, maintainCPD and mandatory training and actively participate in Professional developmentreviews.
To communicate effectively with all patients, carers, relatives, GP's,other Health professionals, colleagues and administrative support.

To work as an integral member of the podiatry team to assess need and deliver qualityprogrammes of podiatric care to patients in a variety of settings across the CSH Surrey sites.
To participate in a mentored rotational programme of specialist clinics, gaining furtherknowledge and experience in diabetes (acute and community), nail surgery, biomechanics.
To assess, diagnose, develop treatment plans and provide effective podiatric treatments,using a problem solving approach based on clinical need and evidence based practice.
To commit to the philosophy of care with an emphasis on patient empowerment andindependence by providing education and information to help patients manage their own footneeds.
To manage clinical risk within own patient caseload seeking guidance as appropriate.To obtain informed consent prior to treatment plans commencing.
To manage a domiciliary caseload within a geographical area
To maintain clear, comprehensive and accurate records. To update patients medical history,evaluate progression and work with the client to develop their treatment plan as required.
To participate in specialist clinical rotations, gaining in- depth knowledge and experience inadvanced areas of podiatric practice. Working closely with mentor to achieve developmenttargets.
To actively participate in clinical support (clinical supervision) and utilise reflective practice asa method to ensure quality of care for all service users.
To work as an autonomous clinician within Professional, Departmental and CSH guidelines.Using clinical reasoning and decision making skills to determine how to best achieve positiveclinical outcomes for patients.
To be aware of ones own scope of practice and to refer to peers/ other professionals asnecessary.
To actively participate in personal development reviews (PDRs), team objectives and lifelonglearning.
To work towards achieving the objectives and values of CSH Surrey.
To assist in the operational management of an assigned clinical base afterguidance/supervision has been provided. This includes pharmacy supplies, ordering andmanaging stock of the base whilst adhering to health and safety guidelines (for examplemoving heavy weights, such as medical supplies in line with manual handing guidelines),infection control and local policies.
To use IT systems appropriately.
To communicate effectively with all patients, carers and relatives regarding theirunderstanding of relevant foot care and self care advice, appointments and proceduralsystems.
