Finishing Foreman

Willmott Dixon are recruiting for a Finishing Foreman to initially work on a project in Bridgend, and across the South Wales region thereafter.

Our aim is for you to be a part of our team to deliver projects close to home across multiple sectors mainly in leisure, education, blue light, residential and healthcare.

As a Finishing Foreman at Willmott Dixon, you will be part of our one team ethos that delivers quality projects on time whilst also having a positive impact on the local community.

Key Responsibilities

As a Finishing Foreman at Willmott Dixon the key responsibilities will include:

• Reporting to the Construction Manager, the successful candidate will manage the delivery of projects safely, on time and to the highest quality.
• Ensure all finishing work, such as painting, decorating and carpentry on the project meets high-quality standards and client expectations.
• Organise, review and manage quality assurance and Health & Safety of supply chain partners on a daily basis.
• Establish standards of quality on-site and ensure delivery of a quality build in accordance with the project specifications and project requirements.
• Adopt the principles of the Considerate Constructor's Scheme and manage community relations. Ensure appropriate site image is maintained to encourage repeat business.
• Understand the client priorities and adopt a professional and considerate approach to maintain good working relations.
• Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management.
• Manage project handover and ensure defect/snag free completion.

Essential and Desirable Criteria

• Proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects as part of a wider team.
• The ability to read and accurately interpret programmes, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Proactively liaising with customers and the supply chain.
• Ideally have a trade background in either Painting, Decorating or Carpentry.
• Appropriate CSCS card
• SMSTS certificate
• First Aid at Work certificate
